OUR GROUP

The Companions of the Poor Souls are an unofficial gathering of lay faithful whose care and devotion for the Poor Souls moves them to form a habit of spiritual suffrage on their behalf. The Church rightly devotes herself to the sufferings of the living, as is just for Her to do, but the pain of those holy souls in the purgative state, or the transition from the purging of the sinful flesh to the purity of eternal life and beatific vision ("he himself will be saved, but only as through fire." 1 Corinthians 3:15) has grown rare in our time. 

This group is Catholic by founding, nature, and substance of its activity, but people of all backgrounds are welcome to attend on equal footing. Please see the "Events Calendar" page for more information on our meetings.
